Obstetrician Gynaecologist
Will provides general gynaecological services including services for menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence. He has particular interests in minimally invasive surgery, including total laparoscopic hysterectomy, as well as vaginal surgery.
During the development of Will’s gynaecological practice he has placed an emphasis on woman centred care, focussing on the symptoms women present with rather than their pathology or imaging results. Although skilled in gynaecological surgery, Will prefers to use the most minimally invasive therapies to improve quality of life, often working with a multidisciplinary team to achieve this.
As a trainee and a specialist, Will has been active in medical advocacy at both RANZCOG and the AMA. He is currently Chair of the Queensland Regional Committee and a RANZCOG Councillor. Will is also involved in medical education, mentoring other specialists in the development of surgical skills and teaching medical students.
Will’s obstetric practice is at Kindred Midwifery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology in East Brisbane where he has specific interests in managing pregnancies for families who have had life changing adverse outcomes such as stillbirth, late miscarriage, fetal abnormalities or early preterm deliveries. He also supports a private midwifery practice. He is happy to provide shared care for women who live outside of Brisbane but intend to deliver in Brisbane.
He looks forward to contributing to accessible gynaecological services for women in rural and regional Queensland.
